An Outing to West Cumberland
On a beautiful day in mid November a party of Brethren from West Lancashire made an early start to venture into the District of Cumberland and Westmorland set amongst spectacular scenery of the northern part of the Lake District.

Arriving at Cleator Moor in good numbers they were able to meet friends and share a welcome cup of tea together with a plentiful supply of biscuits, although some had been observed frequenting a local pie shop.

Leading the deputation was the DGP Paul Snape; also in attendance was the Dept. DGP Mark Barton as well as eight members of the District.
When making his address Lawrence Hinde the District Grand Prefect for Cumberland and Westmorland thanked the members from West Lancashire for their valued and continued support.

A total of around 100 members and guests from all around the UK attended the meeting, and 90 Brethren later enjoyed an excellent four course Banquet in the company of friends from both the District of Cumberland and Westmorland and other Districts visiting the meeting.
